Health Care Search (SHCS) was initially established as a joint venture of BH1 (formerly known as Baptist Hospital Systems Inc) and The Seaboard Group, LLC. For the past twenty-five years, the principals of The Seaboard Group have been among the nation’s most innovative search professionals servicing Staff Model HMO’s, Hospitals, Group Practices, University Academic & Clinical Faculty, Clinical Research Organizations, Bio-Technology, and Pharmaceutical Firms. In establishing SHCS, it was our decision to place the Physician’s needs, goals, and desires in obtaining a practice opportunity as our Primary responsibility. Many Physician Search Firms attempt to convince a physician to accept a position that they have been contracted to fill, whereas Seaboard Health Care Search identifies opportunities that match what the Physician desires. To this end, we choose to focus on developing a direct relationship with the Physician to the extent of acting as their virtual agents in finding the right opportunity which balances both their professional and personal needs. With this approach we can provide Physicians with the best possible overview, feedback and practice options available.

In addition to managing his own firm, Mr. Herrington has been retained by corporations such as National Director of Physician Recruiting for HealthAmerica, Inc. ClinTrials, Pharmaceutical Research Inc., Biometric Research Institute, Innovex, Inc, Quintiles, Hamilton Pharmaceuticals, Prestwick Pharmaceuticals, Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Savient Pharmaceuticals as well as Hospitals, Group Practices and others entities to identify, attract, and acquire the Physician talent needed for continued growth, research, and development.
